Our Values
A subculture is defined as any cultural subgroup differentiated by status, ethnic background, residence, religion, or other factors that functionally unify the group and act collectively on each member. The Church was never meant to just be a subculture. Subcultures avoid risk, and crave separation from the dominant Culture. Instead Jesus called the Church to be a counterculture. A counterculture operates in opposition to the dominant culture while loving. The Kingdom of God described in the Bible is a counterculture. Our mission is to be Jesus’ hands and feet. God has uniquely equipped all of us to be ministers within our spheres of influence. Bringing His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven is our mandate. We comfort the grieving and heal the broken in the context of community. Building bridges to those who are seeking God's truth. We provide resources for those in need and open our arms to the forgotten, the downtrodden, the disillusioned. We break the chains of addictions, free the oppressed, and offer belonging to the marginalized of this world. Our culture is shaped by our values:
